Yesterday – April 15, 2011, I attended the funeral of Mark R. Adams, father of my daughter in law. I met Mark only a few times, and the last time was just one week before his tragic unexpected death on April 9 2011. From the first time I spoke to Mark I knew right away that Mark was an extraordinary man, full of life, very friendly, caring about his family and friends.

It was always a pleasure and honour to be in his company. I admired him for his knowledge about history, art, literature, and life. It was always so easy to talk to him about anything. I was always waiting with enthusiasm for the next meeting.

Mark was in process of planning his retirement; he was very excited about starting a new chapter in his life, but God had different plans for him.

It is difficult to imagine that Mark is not with us anymore. In this difficult time my heart is with his family, his wife, daughter, son, mother, sister and anyone who is deeply affected by his sudden death.

Rest in peace, Mark. I miss you.

One Response to Mark R. Adams

  1. Pete Knox says:

I knew Mark professionally for probably 12 or 13 years . I would see him at industry meetings 2 to 3 times per year. Mark was a real professional, but was also a good friend. I last saw him in Orlando in February, and actually shared a cab with him to Orlando airport. He spoke about his family and said that he was looking forward to retiring in the next couple of years. I told him that I looked forward to seeing him at the next meeting. Mark will be missed by all in our Credit Trade Group. My prayers go out to Mark’s family.
